The paleo diet consists of preferably organic fruits and
vegetables, grass-fed beef, hormone and antibiotic-free meat, some nuts, and
seeds. There are a few vegetables that should be avoided on the paleo diet.
Potatoes and sweet potatoes contain a large amount of starch which turns into
glucose in the body. While glucose is
necessary for the human metabolism, it should be ingested in moderation. Other foods that should be eliminated are
peanuts, legumes, and grains. Legumes, such as lentils, pinto beans, black
beans, soy and peanuts, all contain small amounts of protein and large amounts
of carbohydrates. This can cause a large glycemic response. Grains contain
gluten and which causes inflammation and can lead to disease. Cropped foods,
such as peanuts, grains, and rice, are stored in large masses which cause the
crops to mold and toxins to develop.
This is the main cause of allergies.
